Artist’s Summary
I am a Figurative Realist, painting in oil and drawing primarily in graphite but in charcoal as well. I concentrate on portraits and figurative works centered around dance and nature. I am part Native American and enjoy native pow wow gatherings, cuture and dance. I live in Salem, Oregon, enjoying the beautiful land of the Pacific Northwest and the moody shoreline of Oregon. I focus in figurative realism and works in the oil painting medium. I have been painting for around 40 years now and enjoy giving back to the art community by mentoring students interested in art and supporting the arts in general. I currently have the privilege of serving as President of Artists in Action, a local artist’s group supporting the arts in the greater Willamette area, near Salem Oregon. I am also a proud member of Oil Painters of America and show my art in galleries in Salem, Independence, and in McMinnville Oregon, and in Utah.
