Price:NFS - 25x22 - Trophic Cascades and the Keystone species, Cougar in Spring. Chalk oil was used as an illustration in the book: The Cougar, the Wolf, and a Tree Named Albert: A Storybook of Trophic Cascades.

Patricia Young - "Ankeny Hill Overlook"
Best Representation of Location - On a windy day in early June, I painted "en plein air" at Ankeny Hill Nature Center, taking shelter on the open air covered patio overlooking the reserve and farmland beyond. I finished the painting in my studio using photo references taken on location.

This original colored pencil drawing by Carolyn Lehl of Johnson-Bell Arts was done on Fabriano brand Italian acid-free black paper. It is from a photo I took on July of 2020 of the acorns on an oak tree in Bush Park.
It is done from a photo that the artist took on one of her “Monday Morning Walks in the Park” and is part of a series of 21 pieces
It has a plain white mat and sits within a simple black wooden frame under regular glass.
