Artist’s Summary

Colorful Impressionistic paintings inspired by nature.

Artist Statement

Growing up, I loved spending time outdoors – in London’s lush parks, and elegant streets; and at the beaches, forests and beautiful cities and villages of Spain. Now, much of my inspiration is from Oregon, where I currently reside. I create impressionistic landscapes featuring plants and animals; and people immersed in nature, and in urban environments, employing acrylics on canvas or cradled board, and watercolors. I focus on the transient play of light, shadow, color and reflections, employing a colorful Expressionistic style. Having lived and traveled in many locations has given me a unique perspective, a sense of life as a constant exploration and adventure. I capture passing moments of beauty while painting on plein air or from photos of places I visit using vibrant colors and uplifting themes. Inspired by the beauty of nature, my art aims to evoke joy, wonder, and serenity.
I participate in gallery shows and art festivals, and my art is sold in several locations in Oregon, and in Las Vegas.

Olga is originally from London, England, where she studied watercolor painting, graphite and pen and ink still life drawing, and ceramics. Her artistic style is influenced by her love of nature and color, and her keen interest in history. Her study of Medieval literature, with its colorful, whimsical, detailed illustrations, and Latin American Magic Realism blend in her inclusion of elements real and imagined in her paintings, simultaneously showing how things look today, and hinting at how they might have been in the past. She celebrates the beauty of nature, of human creativity and ingenuity. Her paintings include colorful landscapes, scenes with people in nature, and in human made environments. They are a joyful expression of a fleeting moment in time.
