About the Artist
For the last ten years, Salem artist Jenny Armitage has worked primarily in watercolor. She is a signature member of The Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. She has won multiple awards for her watercolors including: The Bonnie Hall Best in Show, Corvallis Fall Festival, 2018; and second place in the Spring of 2017 and Fall of 2019 Watercolor Society of Oregon shows.
She also works in collage and alcohol ink. During lock-down in 2020 she began making surreal pen and ink drawings which she displayed at Art in the Valley in the Spring of 2021 in her solo show, “An Ink Wink.”
Her work can be seen at Art in the Valley, Corvallis, where she is currently the member in charge of hanging the gallery. She shows at numerous summer and fall art fairs in the northwest including past fairs at the Bellevue Arts Museum Arts Fair, Salem Art Fair, Festival, and Art on the Green.
