Salem Cherry Blossom Day Details!

Salem, Ore. – Cherry Blossom Day is celebrated the third Saturday of March in Salem. To help get the community ready for the occasion, individual artists with Artists in Action (AIA) have lent their artistic prowess by decorating traditional Japanese parasols that will displayed at locations throughout downtown Salem during the month of March.

The Parasol Program follows the theme of Cherry Blossom Day, celebrating the impact of Japanese culture on Oregon. The Cherry Blossom Day event is set for Saturday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the State Capitol.

The parasols will be available for sale by the individual artist. Here is a list of AIA artists and their coordinating locations:

Artwork is viewable from the outside at some locations, and inside at others. You may with to check operating hours before going to view the art.
