Overview

The Founders Gallery is a space within the Elsinore Framing and Fine Art Gallery building that is used to support AiA classes, workshops, meetings, and open studio space. This section of our website has materials for reserving the space for activities. The Master Calendar has a sub menu item for the Founders Gallery where you can see and overview of the activities taking place in the Founders Gallery.

Classes/Workshops

Classes and workshops are held in the Founders Gallery at Elsinore Framing and Fine Art Gallery. An instructor may reserve space and fill out a request form to hold a class. The forms can be found below.

Class Setup:
The instructor must fill out a signup to reserve a slot for holding the class/workshop. After selecting a date in the signup sheet below, the instructor must fill out a Class/Workshop Request form. The form will be reviewed and if approved, will be used to set up the class pages for the website and for promotion of the class. Once accepted, the instructor will need to fill out the Rental Agreement Form below.

Student Enrollment:
Students will be directed to the class web page from social media and in this section. The student get more information about the class and can register/pay for the class. This information will be shared with the instructor.

Fees and Distribution

Once the class/workshop has completed, the class fee will be distributed to the Instructor, AiA and Elsinore. The rental fee is $60 – $50 goes to Elsinore for the space and $10 goes to AiA for tape/floor protection. The instructor can charge a materials fee, which goes to the instructor. The rental fee and materials fee are a part of the class fee (set by the instructor), which is paid by the student to enroll into the class. The rental fee goes to AiA and Elsinore and the Materials Fee goes directly to the instructor. The remaining is split between the instructor and AiA in an 85/15% split. AiA will collect the fees and distribute accordingly:

  • Class Cost per student – Set by instructor and includes
    • Rental Fee – $60 ($50 to Elsinore, $10 to AiA for tape cost)
    • Material Fee – set by instructor and goes to the instructor
    • Fee Split Amount = Class Cost – Rental Fee – Material Fee
  • Instructor Portion = Material Fee + (Fee Split Amount *85%)
  • AiA Portion = $10 Rental Fee + (Fee Split Amount *15%)
  • Elsinore Portion = $50 Rental Fee

Open Studio

The Founders Gallery can also be used by artists to paint and socialize with other artists as well as to do demonstrations to help draw customers into the AiA Art Gallery and Elsinore Framing and Fine Art Gallery. AiA Members are welcome to use the space. They can reserve space by using the sign-up sheet. Artists are responsible for keeping the area clean and leaving the space clean.
