This How-to address what to do and not to do as an AiA Art Gallery Member.
Do’s
- Ensure that the artwork is professionally presented
When you are delivering your artwork, make sure that it is clearly labeled on the back with Title, Artists, Media, Size, and Price. Also make sure that it is professionally framed or that the sides are finished, as appropriate, and that there is a wire hanger on the back – no saw tooth hangers if possible. - Supply enough art to fill the space
For 2D artwork – depending on the number of artists in the co-op at the time, you will have approximately an 8′ x 8′ space in the co-op gallery. The best way to judge how much 2D art to submit is to measure out an 8′ x 8′ space on your floor and place your art in that space. - Keep good records about what artwork you have delivered and which has been returned
Dont’s
- Don’t deliver artwork that is unprofessional or difficult to display; it will not be accepted or will be returned if it does not match the standards
How To’s
- If you have items to remove from inventory, use the AiA Co-op Inventory update form:
https://artistsinaction.org/aia-co-op/aia_coop_inventory_update/ - If you have items to add, use the AiA Co-op Inventory Add form:
https://artistsinaction.org/aia-co-op/coop-inventory-add/ - If you would like to change information about yourself (Bio, Artist Statement, etc.), use the member change form:
https://artistsinaction.org/aia-co-op/coop-member-change/ - If you would like to see the current active inventory (most recent inventory changes may not be posted as yet) on this Google Spreadsheet (unfortunately, you may only have read-only access, which you will not be able to select different periods or artists for some of the worksheet tabs):
