Salem Reads 2021

Contributed by Diane Trevett

The Salem Public Library Foundation created and funds Salem Reads which is in its fifth season. This year, local artists were invited to read “Walking with Peety” by Eric O’Grey and create a piece of artwork in their medium that reflects their interpretation of the book. The exhibit will be displayed at the Elsinore Framing & Fine Art Gallery, 444 Ferry St SE in downtown Salem, February 3–26, 2021. There will not be a reception due to COVID-19 restrictions, however groups of 10 or less are welcome with masks. Gallery hours: MON-FRI 9:00-6:00; SAT 10:00-5:00. Contact the gallery at 503-581-4642.

The artwork will also be displayed on Elsinore Gallery’s website as well as the Salem Reads website.
