We've made a bold move to start off this new year. Your feedback prompted the board to change over to this better organizational tool. We have eliminated our AIA website and instead we have moved over to a new AIA Meetup site platform: https://www.meetup.com/ArtistsInAction/
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: In order to get the full benefit of this new organizational site you need to migrate over to the new AIA Meetup site. We'd love to just transfer you over (believe me I tried)…but we can't. YOU HAVE TO SIGN UP.
1. Go to this site: https://www.meetup.com/ArtistsInAction/
2. Click on "JOIN US"
3. Fill in your profile information.
4. That's it.
HOW WILL PAYING DUES WORK WHEN I MIGRATE OVER?
IF you are a current AIA member and your dues are due now or were in the recent past and you have NOT paid dues then just join the new AIA meetup and you can pay dues right through the meetup. That's it. No need to send a check. https://www.meetup.com/ArtistsInAction
If you have already paid dues then we will tag your membership as "Exempt from Dues" until your 2017 anniversary date. At that time in 2017 the exempt status will be removed and then you'll pay directly through the meetup. No need to send a check. https://www.meetup.com/ArtistsInAction
WHAT IF I DON'T MIGRATE OVER TO THE NEW AIA MEETUP?
Multiple notices have been emailed to your address that we have changed over. Soon those notices will cease. It would be unfortunate if you were to allow your membership to lapse BUT you may opt to re-join AIA at any time in the future. Just follow the easy instructions above.
As of now, ALL communications are being transferred over to the new AIA meetup. So notices about membership, events, bulletins, calendars...EVERYTHING is being communicated through the meetup.
