What's New


Who: Active "Artists in Action" member artists

What: A week-long show of artworks. Paintings will not be included in this exhibition. Sculpture, fiber arts, photographs, jewelry, pottery, drawings, silkscreen, printmaking, etc... will be featured.

When: May 7-14, 2014. The show will open with a reception from 5-8pm on May 7. The show will be open to the public from 11am-2pm, May 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14. Please note: The show will not open on Sunday.

Where: Gallery 180, on the ground floor in the Salem Arts bldg. at 155 Liberty St. NE, Downtown Salem.

Why: This will provide an opportunity for the public to view photographs and three dimensional artworks by local artists.

Why no paintings? Paintings are the most commonly shown artworks around town. AiA wants the public to have an opportunity to see works in alternative media.

Factoid: Artworks will be for sale unless otherwise marked.
Factoid: There is unmetered street parking or parking in the Liberty Parking structure about 2 blocks away at corner of Ferry and Liberty Streets.

If you look under ANY Bulletin Board Category you will notice that ALL postings now have a facebook and Twitter "button" at the bottom of the posting. This allows ANY VISITOR to post an individual AiA Bulletin Board posting to their facebook and/or Twitter feed.

When you click on either the facebook or Twitter button a popup window will appear where you can login into your facebook or Twitter account. Then you will see an excerpt of how the posting will appear on your facebook or twitter feed and also the opportunity to "Write Something..." Click the "Share Link" button and your done.
